The mission of this team is to track and investigate waterborne disease and outbreaks, improve waterborne disease prevention capabilities in state and local health departments, and develop effective prevention strategies to improve health. WASH also assists local, state, and territorial health departments in accessing first-hand information on the spread of the diseases in their community or region.
