Guidelines for the Use of Modified Health Care Protocols in Acute Care Hospitals During Public Health Emergencies.
These guidelines describe principles and practices that health care providers, acute care hospitals, and communities in Kansas can utilize for planning for the provision of care in the event that resources become scarce during a disaster or public health emergency. Triage tools and exclusion criteria for allocation of critical care resources (e.g., ventilators) are included.
