The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) CHILD Working Group Update describes the progress HHS has made since 2011 to address the needs of children in disasters and highlights three new focus areas: pregnant and chest/breastfeeding people and newborns, children at heightened risk, and interdepartmental and non-governmental organization collaboration.
