Topic Collection: COVID-19 Information and Peer-Reviewed Resources

 

This Topic Collection focuses on information and peer-reviewed resources to inform COVID-19 preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts. Resources include data visualizations, literature collections, resource databases, and other curated collections of information for specific stakeholder groups.  

This Resource Collection was reviewed in Fall 2023. Please refer to CDC’s Coronavirus Disease 2019 webpage for the most up-to-date clinical guidance on COVID-19 outbreak management.

 

Data Visualizations

GeoHEALTH is ASPR's secure Geographic Information System (GIS) based, electronic, interactive mapping application. This application incorporates information from other federal and public agencies (e.g., NOAA, USGS and NGOs) into a single visual environment for enhanced situational awareness, assessment, and management of resources for planning, response to natural, man-made or pandemic events. This system supports functions such as policy analysis, planning, course of action comparison, incident management, and training.

This resource page displays data reporting by certified Medicare skilled nursing facilities and Medicaid nursing facilities. Users may view individual facility data as well as view maps of total resident cases and deaths by state and resident cases and deaths per 1,000 residents by state.

This interactive map of real-time COVID-19 indicators displays intensity of activity and seven-day trends at the state, metropolitan area, and county levels. Indicators are based on data from doctor visits, self-reported symptom surveys by Facebook and Google, Google searches on COVID-19 topics, and requests for influenza testing reported by Quidel.
