Hospitalization and Mortality among Black Patients and White Patients with Covid-19.

The authors report data from their retrospective cohort study of more than 3,500 patients in one integrated-delivery health system in Louisiana between March 1 and April 11, 2020. They found that while black patients comprise 31 percent of the health system’s population, they represented 76.9% of the hospitalized COVID-19 patients and 70.6% of the COVID-19 deaths.
