This research letter reports data collected retrospectively from 40 COVID-19 patients in severe respiratory failure and supported with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) at 2 tertiary medical centers between March 17 and July 17, 2020. The authors reported promising outcomes using single access, dual-stage venovenous ECMO with early extubation.
