While the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has not yet created regulations to prevent workplace violence in healthcare facilities, states like California, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania are addressing the issue with laws of their own through policies such as mandating additional security officers or introducing screening for weapons.
