Acting on the Lessons of SARS What Remains To Be Done Biosecurity and Bioterrorism Biodefense Strategy

The authors share the lessons learned from the SARS outbreak, including how hospitals "amplified" the disease by performing specific procedures (e.g., endotracheal intubation and airwaysuctioning) that can aerosolize respiratory droplet. The authors then highlight successes (e.g., the use of "respiratory etiquette") that have come about as a result of implementing the lessons learned.
