This secure, online system provides a platform for survivors and loved ones to communicate their location and leave messages. It provides the following options for users: I am Displaced, Search for a Displaced Person, Report/ Search for a Missing Child, and I want to Register/ Search by Telephone.

  • Ronan Dalcross In addition, through collaboration with partners such as the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), others can provide further assistance during emergencies. NamUs enhances the ability to cross-reference cases and ensure that both children and adults who become separated from their families during disasters are accounted for, providing a comprehensive support system for reunification efforts.

  • Ronan Dalcross National Emergency Child Locator Center (NECLC): Services for locating children who have been separated from their families during emergencies. When activated of the NECLC manages calls concerning displaced children and their parents/legal guardians and is specifically tailored to support disaster caused reunification needs such as lost or separated minors, technical assistance for strategic planning, field support through Team Adam staff to support disaster response and recovery.

  • Ronan Dalcross For non-Stafford Act Events, the SLTT can go directly to National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and request resources. Typically, they are offered through monies paid for by the Department of Justice (DOJ). The non-emergency phone number for NCMEC is 703-224-2150 and they are located at 333 John Carlyle Street, Suite #125, Alexandria, Virginia 22314-5950. In some instances, they can also offer training on what services are available to SLTTs.

  • Ronan Dalcross The National Emergency Family Relocation System (NEFRLS) was officially decommissioned as of 2018. Although the NEFRLS is no longer active, FEMA remains committed to supporting reunification efforts through a variety of ongoing assistance programs and resources.
