Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Teams

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response. (2017). Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Teams (DMORT).
Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Teams (DMORT) are composed of citizens with a particular field of expertise, who are activated in the event of a disaster, and work under the guidance of local authorities by providing technical assistance and personnel to identify and process deceased victims in a fully operational morgue. The DMORT program maintains three Disaster Portable Morgue Units (DPMUs) which hold equipment and supplies that can be used to stand up a complete morgue at a disaster site.
