Triage Systems for Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services - A Systematic Review

Lidal, I.B., Holte, H.H. and Vist, G.E. (2013). Triage Systems for Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services - A Systematic Review. Scandinavian Journal of Trauma, Resuscitation and Emergency Medicine. 21:28.
The authors conducted an extensive literature review to answer the questions: 1) are pre-hospital triage systems effective, 2) is one triage system more effective than others, and 3) is it effective to use the same triage system in two or more settings of the EMS-chain? They found a gap in the literature and were unable to draw any conclusions.
