State of Science.
This is the first webinar in a series of webinars, workshops, pilot studies, and regional preparedness exercises to discuss the current state and future direction of critical healthcare infrastructure modeling for disaster events. This project focuses on developing a platform that integrates several variables (“extreme event forecasts, health risk/impact assessment and population simulations, critical infrastructure (electrical, water, transportation, communication) impact and response models, health care facility-specific vulnerability and failure assessments, and health system/patient flow responses”) to improve regional healthcare system resilience.
