Pediatric healthcare providers are in a unique position to provide guidance and support to caregivers and children grieving the loss of a loved one. This article highlights factors related to mourning (e.g., triggers, negative mental health effects) and provides strategies for healthcare workers to use to help patients and caregivers work their way through grief.
