Lessons Learned from Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico Practical Measures to Mitigate the Impact of a Catastrophic Natural Disaster on Radiation Oncolog

This article examines how radiation oncologists treating patients before Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico in 2017 coordinated continuity of care for their patients after the storm. The authors developed recommendations for future disruption of medical care for radiation oncology patients when maintaining continuity of care when patients move or require evacuation.
