Computer-Aided Management of Emergency Operations

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. (2025). Computer-Aided Management of Emergency Operations (CAMEO).
This suite of five tools helps communities plan for and recover from emergencies involving hazardous substances. Areal Locations of Hazardous Atmospheres (ALOHA) models downwind dispersion of a chemical cloud. CAMEO Chemicals - Chemical Response Datasheets and Reactivity Prediction Tool is a database with response information for various chemicals. CAMEO Data Manager - Database and Information Management Tool helps communities manage required data reporting on their emergency and hazardous chemical inventory. Mapping Application for Response, Planning, and Local Operational Tasks (MARPLOT) allows users to map objects (which can be linked to CAMEO Data Manager records) or import existing layers of objects on a geographic information system basemap. Tier2 Submit allows facilities to prepare electronic versions of required hazardous chemical inventory forms.
