Lessons Learned from Efforts to Support Vulnerable Critical Access and Other Rural Hospitals

The authors examine how healthcare facilities in rural areas used state and federal support to overcome challenges (e.g., workforce shortages, financial vulnerability, a decline in the need for in-patient beds, and increased pressure to address equity). Examples from various states are provided throughout the report.
