This systematic review synthesized strategies for addressing drug shortages in pediatric care from 2014 to 2024. An effective risk management approach to addressing drug shortages in pediatric care includes a focus on prevention, collaboration with stakeholders (i.e., international governing and regulatory bodies, national and local authorities, and health workers), proactive measures (e.g., investing in technology and data analytics), standardized frameworks and guidelines, communication and information sharing, education and training, and efficiency.
