Pediatric Priorities Through the Disaster Management Cycle: Integrating Children’s Needs in Mitigation, Preparedness, Response and Recovery.
This book chapter describes findings from a literature review on children’s disaster preparedness. The authors "found several areas in need of improvement but very few recommendations on how to address these concerns,' and note specific areas of future planning, including including children in disaster plans (especially children with access and functional needs), addressing health disparities, and ensuring those who work with children are trained on disaster preparedness.
