Hospital Evacuation Guidelines for Pediatric and Neonatal Patients

Illinois Emergency Medical Services for Children. (2020). Hospital Evacuation Guidelines for Pediatric and Neonatal Patients.
The first edition of this document, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Evacuation Guidelines (2009), was developed by an ad hoc NICU Evacuation Planning Committee and focused exclusively on NICUs. This second edition expands the intended audience to include all hospital inpatient units that care for children, including NICUs, nurseries, pediatric intensive care units (PICUs), pediatric units, adult medical/surgical units that admit pediatric patients, labor and delivery/obstetrical units, and child and adolescent psychiatric units.
