2025 Vulnerable Medicine List Addressing Strategic Constraints to Strengthen the U.S. Medicine Supply Chain

This issue brief identifies 100 vulnerable drug products (from a list 2,511 assessed) based on a composite measure of clinical necessity, patient reach, and upstream supply chain fragility. They found the majority listed are injectable products, most are structurally vulnerable rather than in shortage, nearly half have at least one key starting material manufactured in a single country, and the list reflects a wide range of therapeutic classes and disease categories.
