This interactive online course provides pet owners, animal caregivers, and emergency responders with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize and respond to common animal medical emergencies. The class covers life-threatening conditions including heat stroke, hypothermia, and frostbite, with step-by-step guidance on prevention, recognition, and immediate care. Students will also be introduced to safe handling practices, including how to properly restrain and lift animals to minimize stress and prevent injury during examinations and transport. Finally, the course includes essential instruction and demonstration on performing CPR on animals to help people stabilize an animal’s condition until professional veterinary care is available.
