A Comparison of Clinical and Laboratory Features of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever in Children and Adults A Retrospective Single Center-Cohort Study

This retrospective cohort study of 176 adult and 47 pediatric confirmed CCHF patients describes their severity on admission and clinical outcomes. They found differences between adults and children in the most common symptoms. Nearly all children received ribavirin compared to fewer than 10 percent of adults. Children had longer lengths of hospital stays and lower mortality rates than adults.
