Respite Best Practices Lessons Learned from the ARCH Innovative and Exemplary Respite Services Initiative

Two programs that provide respite for caretakers of people with autism are highlighted in this report on “innovative, exemplary, and rising stars.” Autism Eats offers meals in private spaces with no wait time, reduced sensory stimuli, sensory toys, and special guests. Treatment Research and Education for Autism and Developmental Disorders offers hourly, overnight, camp, and community respite for children with autism.
