Capital Area Provider Teams

The U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) Capital Area Provider (CAP) teams provide medical and public health assistance to the National Capital Region (NCR) during special events and other supported activities. CAP teams will only deploy in support of planned events at the U.S. Capitol and in the NCR (e.g., inaugurations, State of the Union Addresses, and Congressional Balls). There are currently five CAP teams, and each is comprised of five trained USPHS Commissioned Corps officer responders. For SME contact information email: RedDOG@hhs.gov.
