ASPR TRACIE-Medical Reserve Corps Resources

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of more than 270,000 volunteers organized into approximately 700 units that strengthen community health and safety through emergency preparedness and response. In early 2026, ASPR TRACIE and the Office of the Medical Reserve Corps (OMRC) launched a partnership to connect MRC units with practical planning, operational, administrative, and training resources they can adapt for their communities. Through this partnership, ASPR TRACIE curates existing resources, develops new resources to fill identified gaps, and highlights best practices, including exemplary MRC unit work featured in a speaker series.

We truly enjoy working together and welcome your questions, comments, and suggestions. For example:

  • Do you have an MRC-specific resource (e.g., tip sheet, toolkit, operational resource, training module) to recommend or share? Please email ASPR TRACIE and we will review it for potential inclusion!
  • Are you interested in serving as an MRC subject matter expert (SME)? Access the application form and select the areas you specialize in, and we will add you to the ASPR TRACIE MRC SME Cadre!
  • Want to connect with your peers and participate in near-real time conversations about pending and actual health threats and share plans, program materials, and good news stories in a password-protected environment? Join the ASPR TRACIE Information Exchange (IE) and check out the MRC Unit Leaders, State Coordinators, and Good News Stories boards.

ASPR TRACIE Resources

ASPR TRACIE’s resources (including 60 comprehensively developed Topic Collections) were created to meet the diverse needs of healthcare providers and public health officials. These annotated bibliographies and other resources (such as environmental scans, speaker series recordings, and webinars) can also help the roughly 700 MRC units across the nation address their varied priorities and capabilities.
