Tele-ultrasound (TUS) was used during the pandemic to help diagnose pneumonia for certain patient populations such as pregnant women, children, and non-mobile patients. The authors provide an overview of current and potential use of TUS, providing a table th76at lists strengths and weaknesses and discussing how TUS has been used in trauma medicine and can be used in future emergencies to improve triage and reach residents in more rural areas where it may be difficult to obtain high-quality imaging.
