Vaccination Strategies for Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo The WHO-Ebola Modeling Collaboration

Ajelli, M., Muyembe, J., Toure, A., et al. (2025). Vaccination Strategies for Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo: The WHO-Ebola Modeling Collaboration. International Journal of Infectious Diseases. 153:107779.
The authors designed a study to model the effects of a ring vaccination strategy implemented during a 2019-2020 Ebola outbreak in comparison to a hypothetical scenario in which vaccination was not implemented. They concluded ring vaccination was highly effective during the outbreak and the most efficient strategy in comparison to alternate vaccination strategies.
